Ted Lasso
Quite fun, I thought.

Yeah. The more I watch the more annoyed it makes me with how stupidly awful, innacurate and dumbed down everything football related in it is. And it’s just such a cliche of quaint Englishness made for American viewers.

I can see why people who don’t care about football like it. I can’t get over how badly the football side of it is handled.

Awful tv. The football scenes are some of the worst television I’ve ever seen in my life.

I have no idea why it won any emmys.

Watched the first episode of this and found it quite cringeworthy.

A bit too dumbed down, for me.

Not seen it but that Jason Sedukis bloke is shagging Keeley Hazell the lucky bugger.

Re: Ted Lasso
It’s quite fun but they seem to have decided premier league clubs run on a staff of about four people and are village industries. Clearly written for an American audience as well where they’ve eschewed reality and authenticity for quaintness and things the yanks will understand.

Re: Ted Lasso
First season was great, second season very hit and miss with some really poor episodes. There’s one that starts with the two females leads excitedly screaming at each other, has to turn that one off as it was just contrived rubbish.

Bit of a shame as I thought it was really done in the first season.

Should’ve been canned after the first season. Garbage show.

Re: Ted Lasso
Think it’s a brilliant series. Really well written and for a ‘soccer’ themed American show, it’s got the football culture down, clearly some very good English writers too.

Superbly cast too. Lots of throw away lines that if you know your stuff and football history will be little gems as you watch it.

As Sydney says, it is a bit stupid, but I love it. Only recently started watching it but got into it straight away. It’s just a fun show to watch that doesn’t require you to think too much during it.

Totally loved the programme. Refreshing; well written and the characters are perfectly cast. A very funny programme. Whole family love it.

Re: Ted Lasso
Its a bit stupid really, but watchable.

Looks like the next season will feature West Ham quite a bit! Well in name only, one of the main characters has just become "fictional" West Ham manager, but got a feeling he is the bad guy, so West Ham will be then enemy for Lasso fans.
